Sledge is a genetically engineered supersoldier created by the Quorum to serve as your secret weapon for the U.S. Army ,but he proved completely useless for such for this purpose as well as killing enemy soldiers, killed also the allies in view of his precious weapon was not could be used, Quorum froze him. When freed from its cryo-prison Sledge created an immense hatred for everything that relates with the United States, coming into direct conflict with the Steel and Guy Gardner.
Joined in The Suicide SquadEdit
Later to atone for his crimes, he was recruited by Cameron Chase to enter the Suicide Squad,on a mission in South America against the Construct, an ancient enemy of the Justice League. In this mission the squadron had rebelled against their leader abandoned to its fate, against a Peruvian guerrilla group known as Shining Path but was saved by Sledge,who died during their rescue.
