Synopsis for "Death on Ysmault"Edit
Abysmus uses his rib to poison the Red Lantern Central Power Battery. Rankorr fights off the Abysmorphs alongside Atrocitus. Rankorr seems to have still been able to hold onto his own consciousness. The Abysmorphs flee and Rankorr removes the spike from Atrocitus's back. The rest of the Red Lanterns still loyal to Atrocitus show up and assume Rankorr is one of Bleez's agents. Atrocitus speaks up and tells them he did nothing. Every Red Lantern in the area suddenly collapses. Zilius Zox attacks Rankorr assuming that he has poisoned them. Rankorr fights back and summons a giant rage-plasma construct. Orbiting Ysmault, Bleez tells Skallox that her spies have brought word about Rankorr and sends him to Earth to find out more about him. On Earth, Guy Gardner questions the man who killed Rankorr's grandfather. Back on Ysmault, The Abysmorphs flee the planet on Iroque's transport. Atrocitus goes to the Central Power Battery and laments about how the destroyed Battery represents the death of the Corps of Avengers he had foreseen.
