Synopsis for "Rendering Honor"Edit
Kirrt is interned in the Crypt of the Corps and honored as a hero. Guy has been summoned by the Guardians and they review his recent actions, including using Fatman and Little Boy as weapons of mass destruction during the mission against the Keepers (effectively executing them). Guy brings up President Harry Truman's decision to drop Fatman and Little Boy on Nagasaki and Hiroshima respectively to justify his decision and argues that the ends justified the means. John is packing up Kirrt's apartment and Vandor comes in to help and ask why John cancelled Kirrt's honor detail. Vandor tells John to stop beating himself up and he responds that he knows he did what was right but that doesn't mean he has to like it. John arrives at Lorror to deliver Kirrt's body to his family. His brother, Birrt, doesn't understand what has happened due to learning disabilities he has suffered from from birth. While John is talking with Kirrt's parents, Birrt steals Kirrt's body and smashes open his casket and then grieves the loss of his brother after he realizes what really happened. Later, John engraves Kirrt's headstone.
