Synopsis for "Bad Guys"Edit
The Third Army reaches earth and ravages downtown Atlanta, Georgia on Earth. They swam destroying everything and assimilating members of the general public. The Guardians, who directly control the Third Army, watch dispassionately from afar. They decide that the next target for assimilation in to the ranks of the third army should be Guy Gardner. Guy is imprisoned following his disastrous attempt at fighting crime as a vigilante. Guy is visited in jail by his brother Gerard and sister Gloria, who he tells the about being kicked out of the Green Lantern Corps. As they try to encourage Guy to snap out of his melancholy, an alarm sounds. The Third Army break into the prison complex, going directly for Guy. Guy convinces the prison guards to release him from his cuffs and let him fight the enemy. Mean while John Stewart and Fatality continue their mission to help Mogo reform. He discovers that there is an unknown ship using parts of Mogo to generate energy to fuel a weapon of great power, which they are using to extort a planet. John swooping into action and putting himself and an energy shield construct between the ship and the planet below. Fatality smashes the ship open, releasing the fragments of Mogo. Stewart lets the damaged ship fall to the planet’s surface in retribution. Both Fatality and Stewart continue to the core of the reforming Mogo. On earth the three Gardner’s and the remaining guards arm themselves with automatic rifles, and prepare to make their last stand. As the Third Army smashes through the door they open fire, this does not even slow the Third army down and the guards are assimilated. Guy, his brother and his sister are saved as Lantern Baz and B’dg smash through the roof and together they beat the Third Army back, and contain them. Guy asks B’dg to transport Gerard and Gloria back home, and the surviving prisoners out. Then Guy orders Baz to steal some missiles from an Airforce base, which they use to incinerate the enemy. With B’dg towing Guy, they and Baz fly to the moon. B’dg brings Guy up to speed about the disappearance of Hal Jordan, and when Baz plays back the message in his ring Jordan and Sinestro are seen to shout "the guardians are trying to destroy us.."
