The Black Lantern Corphans are the deceased children kidnapped by the Sinestro Corps member Kryb. It is unknown whether all of the children taken by her were from Green Lanterns she had killed, and this is unlikely as she only managed to kill a few as a member of the Sinestro Corps., and there were hundreds, if not an entire planet full of the the captured children. All of these children were kept within ribcage-like prisons on a planet in Space Sector 3599, where she cared for them as though they were her own. She seemed to have some demented idea that she was the only one truly capable of caring for the children, and seemed to sincerely love them, as she was seen crying when they psychically cried out to her when she was imprisoned on Zamaron, unable to help them.

Blackest NightEdit

Unfortunately, because of her (Kryb's) inability to care for them during her imprisonment, most if not all of the children died of starvation and lack of care, and were resurrected as Black Lanterns during the Blackest Night, swelling the undead legions by hundreds, perhaps thousands, if not millions. When the Black Lanterns descended upon Oa, intent on killing the resident Lanterns and then destroying the Central Power Battery, the Corphans arrived, bringing psychological terror as well as sheer firepower against the defenders. When Guy Gardner becomes a Red Lantern, he attacks the corphans, and is himself attacked by the newly arrived Kryb, who tries to protect them. The Corphans continue to wreak havoc during this time.
